Job summary

CLA is seeking a Property Tax Senior to join our State & Local Tax (SALT) practice. You will review fixed asset documents, resolve data issues, and use Avalara to prepare renditions for clients across Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail and Healthcare industries.

You will receive Avalara training, perform tax research, review notices, and assist with complex issues while mentoring associates and interns to grow careers within CLA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years' of relevant experience.
• Experience in business consulting or services preferred.
• CPA eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review fixed asset detail documents submitted by clients required for property tax renditions.
• Work with client and property tax team to resolve identified data issues.
• Receive training on Avalara software
• Utilize Avalara to prepare and review property tax renditions
• Work with clients from multiple industries, including Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail & Healthcare
• Complete tax-related research and special projects as needed
• Review and resolve property tax notices from Assessors
• Identify discrepancies where filing an appeal may be required
• Develop and train team associates and interns to help them build inspired careers
• Work with many great clients to help them resolve complex issues and get results

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.

The compensation range for this position in California is: $87,000.00 – $146,000.00

The compensation range for this position in Washington is: $80,000.00 – $136,000.00
