Job summary

Psomas in Fresno is hiring a Project Surveyor to support a diverse portfolio of surveying and mapping projects within our Survey & Geospatial team. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results across infrastructure programs.

The candidate will coordinate field data, perform technical mapping, and review legal descriptions and ALTA surveys while mentoring junior staff and contributing to project success.

Qualifications

• California PLS license preferred; LSIT certification required at a minimum.
• 10+ years of surveying experience across all project phases, including public mapping and legal descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination & Execution: Organize and coordinate surveying and mapping assignments to support successful project delivery.
• Data Management & Processing: Use databases and systems to process field data with accuracy and consistency.
• Technical Mapping & Analysis: Prepare mapping and final drawings for agency submittals, including topographic mapping and boundary analysis.
• Research & Calculations: Review title reports, right-of-way/easements, ALTA surveys and mapping records; perform survey calculations and provide field support.
• Collaboration & Support: Work with survey staff and multi-disciplinary teams to meet project needs.
• Direct Technical Staff: Train and mentor staff on survey procedures and workflows.
