Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Scheduler to optimize project timelines across Lockport, LA manufacturing operations. You will lead scheduling efforts for fabrication, assembly, and installation, aligning with production needs and customer reviews.

The role requires strong expertise in Primavera P6, IMS, and EVM concepts, with experience in heavy marine fabrication. Collaboration with production and project management teams is essential to drive on-time delivery and recovery

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production scheduling within heavy industrial manufacturing, marine fabrication, or shipbuilding.
• Primavera P6 scheduling software is strictly required.
• MS Project experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
• Experience in maritime or shipbuilding environments navigating complex asset manufacturing sequences.

• Advanced, hands‑on proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software is strictly required.
• Familiarity or experience with MS Project is highly preferred.
• Solid understanding or direct experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
• Prior background working specifically within the maritime or shipbuilding sector, navigating complex asset manufacturing sequences.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to map out complex fabrication, assembly, and installation workflows to guide active production workflows.
• Proficiency in identifying critical path deviations and proactively developing logical recovery plans alongside construction supervisors.
• Skilled at measuring physical progress metrics across multiple localized workstations to generate accurate structural schedule projections.
• Ability to align specific scheduling dates with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) timelines to support procurement operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to regularly interface with department supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors.
• Aptitude for synthesizing data into clear, consumable project review reports and metrics summaries for upper management.
