The Project Planner supports capital projects by developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and resources. This role partners closely with Project Managers and project teams to provide schedule analysis, performance insights, and risk identification throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules using CPM methodology (Primavera P6 preferred)
- Build and manage work breakdown structures (WBS), cost/resource loading, and project baselines
- Monitor schedule performance, critical path, and project health
- Analyze variances, risks, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Generate reports, dashboards, and forecasts for stakeholders
- Support monthly project reviews, change control, and business planning processes
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction) to ensure accurate updates
- Run scenario analysis (“what-if”) to assess impacts of changes
Qualifications
- ~7+ years of project controls or scheduling experience
- Experience with CPM and scheduling tools (Primavera P6 preferred)
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Hybrid work model (2+ days onsite) - Pittsburgh, PA
- Role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
