United Grid Solutions in Mesa, Arizona seeks a Project Manager II to oversee the on-time delivery of assigned projects, ensuring quality workmanship and optimal use of company resources. The role represents the company to clients and ensures safety and compliance with contractual requirements.
This position requires a strong technical and project management foundation, coordination with discipline engineers, procurement, controls, and business development to support project performance.
The Project Manager II is responsible for on‑time delivery of all assigned projects, ensuring quality workmanship to the client. Responsibility includes the efficient utilization of United Grid Solution resources to enhance the return on investment of these resources.
The primary responsibility of this role is to complete assigned projects within established scope, schedule, quality, and cost parameters as agreed upon by the client and the company. The Project Manager II is responsible for day‑to‑day project operations and represents the company with clients, ensuring safety, protection of company assets, and compliance with contractual requirements.
The Project Manager II works closely with internal and external project managers, discipline engineers, procurement, project controls, finance, and business development personnel to support successful project performance. This role requires a strong foundation of technical and project management knowledge appropriate to the project’s level of complexity and financial risk. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is recommended.

Required Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or other relevant discipline.
Required Understanding of substation electrical engineering, transmission line engineering or project management experience in the energy industry.
Preferred substation experience with substation system protections.
Minimum of 8 Year(s) experience in engineering, construction, project controls, project management and/or procurement experience. Proven performance as a Project Manager on complex projects and demonstrated ability to serve as the highest‑level project lead.
Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred
