Job summary

Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support complex program implementation across DHS administrations and other state partners. You will lead enterprise project planning, performance measurement, and continuous improvement efforts while mentoring team members.

The role requires strong PM experience, Lean/Six Sigma knowledge, and ability to coordinate cross‑functional initiatives. Telework is available for Minnesota residents with approval.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience with project management, continuous improvement projects and complex business processes.
• Experience applying PM theory and best practices on large projects, including planning and reporting.
• Formal training or certification in PM tools or methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide project and/or program planning and management on large, complex projects to develop sustainable programs and policies.
• Lead design and implementation of complex business processes, performance and communication plans.
• Provide PM consultation and promote standard PM practices across the agency.
• Lead planning for Smartsheet and PM Community of Practice; manage enterprise Smartsheet license planning.
• Provide leadership for knowledge transfer services and performance measurement at DHS.
