Job description

Founded in 2005, iam8bit is a creative production emporium that has quietly redefined the entertainment industry, time and time again. Collaborating with a plethora of partners and narrative-busting IPs, iam8bit punctuates the importance of engaging with fans directly. By creating the video game industry's very first community events, the company injected the idea of experiential immersion into game and film marketing. iam8bit also played a crucial role in the vinyl renaissance, minting its first record in 2010, and is the industry leader in premium physical editions of top-tier games. In 2020, iam8bit evolved into financing and publishing games, with several yet-to-be-announced PC, console and tabletop games on the horizon under its iam8bit Presents imprint.

As a Senior Project Manager: Partner Accounts, you are responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and monitoring of all aspects of an XP project, including setting timelines, managing budgets and ensuring successful delivery of promotional product, swag, and related pop-up activations. Attention to detail is critical to the success of the position accompanied by excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You enjoy owning projects and have a proven track record of delivering results in project management. You’ll be collaborating on impressive global IPs, communicating with and presenting to a variety of partners and personalities, and making unique and memorable swag objects that innovate. Sometimes you’ll even be traveling to cool locations to operate pop-ups for brands you’ve definitely heard of.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee multiple and/or large, complex, highly sensitive projects including strategic partnerships and cross departmental initiatives; participating in contract negotiation, determining scope of work, and making decisions about the execution of the project within those parameters.
  • Innovate based on partner’s goals and the philosophical DNA of iam8bit in order to produce and deliver creative products that exceed expectations at every turn.
  • Be the primary liaison between the project team, leadership, and external stakeholders (i.e. clients and vendors) during the project(s); from project initiation through execution, building and maintaining high-level, strategic relationships with those parties.
  • Report on portfolio performance to executives, to strategize and align on goals.
  • Provide guidance, demonstrate, and help to build out best practices for project management within the department, as well as develop or influence training opportunities.
  • Provide support to the larger XP team on events, mailers, and activations as needed.
PROJECT-LEVEL MANAGEMENT:
  • Create and manage detailed project plans, outlining budgets, timelines, risks, and resources for successful execution, with minimal input from the executive team.
  • Oversee the financial aspect of each project, ensuring that budgets are adhered to.
  • Monitor progress to ensure client expectations and all deliverables and are met on time.
  • Allocate and share resources across multiple department projects and/or teams.
  • Manage vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to produce events and marketing assets.
  • Collaborate with others for efficient execution, delegate tasks, and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, tracking all decisions, budgets, schedules, and communications for reference and reporting on specific project metrics, (i.e. timelines, budget adherence, and deliverable quality).
  • Lead post-mortems for every project, identifying successes, challenges, and areas to improve.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated ability with physical goods production including sourcing, sampling, shipping, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Persistence and determination to complete projects, while being agile as changes arise.
  • Ability to prioritize between different tasks and across different projects.
  • Ability to work and make decisions under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Shopify, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator for file review).
  • Understanding of customer service best-practices and demonstrated ability to make partners and clients feel cared for.
