Job summary

Astec is seeking an experienced Project Manager for an onsite role at our Chattanooga, TN facility. You will plan, coordinate, and implement projects within budget, timeline, and scope, and present updates to stakeholders and clients.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage resources, and develop detailed project plans to ensure on‑time delivery and alignment with business objectives. Relaying progress to leadership, you’ll drive risk management and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of end‑to‑end project management experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Experience in a matrix-based marcom organization preferred.

About The Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

LOCATION: This is an onsite position at our Astec, Inc. facility in Chattanooga, TN. Corporate relocation assistance is available.

Key Deliverables

• Develop documentation for processes and procedures for projects.
• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Develop a detailed project plan
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope and within budget
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Communicate, monitor and track progress

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on‑time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
• Report and upscale to management as needed
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:

• Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience and training
• 8+ years of end‑to‑end project management experience
