Job summary

S&B USA Construction in Virginia Beach seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead one large job or several smaller projects, overseeing financial, schedule, quality and safety objectives. You will coordinate with superintendents, manage subcontractors and vendors, and mentor the project team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires a Civil/Construction background, strong leadership, and track record in complex construction environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Design Build experience preferred.
• Ten years of field experience in Demolition/Heavy Civil/Heavy Highway or Marine/Pile Driving.
• Experience in project budget and schedule management preferred.
• Estimating experience preferred.
• Effective communication with clients and teams encouraged.
• Strong problem solving and analytical ability required.
• Computer literacy including MS Office, P6, Suretrak and HCSV preferred.
• Ability to work well under high-stress conditions and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are performed safely while meeting budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Set up and audit project controls: accounting, safety, schedule, material requisition.
• Prepare timely submittals, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material suppliers with supervision.
• Lead pre-job planning, turnover, and lessons learned.
• Maintain and monitor critical path dates and milestone schedules.
• Interface with owners, subcontractors, vendors and ensure good relationships.
• Oversee budgets, cost codes, quantities, and monthly forecasts.
• Lead change orders, negotiate with subcontractors, and authorize payments.
• Develop and mentor Project Managers & Engineers assigned to projects.
