Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Greenville, SC seeks a Senior Project Manager to expand our Land Development practice. You will lead a team, build client relationships, and drive project delivery with integrity and strong business principles.

The role offers autonomy to grow the business, with a focus on profitability, mentorship, and collaboration across disciplines. A successful candidate will leverage extensive contacts and deliver high-quality design and planning solutions.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience managing land development projects.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • Extensive client contacts with architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners, and/or land owners.
  • Strong AutoCAD Civil3D skills and design capabilities.
  • Experience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to mentor staff and direct resources positively.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably.

Overview

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand our Land Development practice in Greenville, SC!

Responsibilities
  • The qualified individual will lead a Land Development team while building and managing relationships with key clients
  • Leadership responsibilities include:
    • Operating with integrity and sound business principles
    • Providing vision, business planning and strategy
    • Establishing goals
    • Building and maintaining positive client relationships
    • Having open communication with your partners and team
    • Growing and leading a land development practice
  • Our Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentor
  • The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their business
  • With success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership
Qualifications

  • Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work

  • Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably
