Job summary

Optomi is seeking a Project Manager to support complex infrastructure and technology initiatives within the Research Information Services team in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on HPC hardware, data centers, cloud, and DevOps, requiring clear communication with executive and technical stakeholders to drive initiatives to successful implementation.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of PM experience, PMP, and demonstrated ability to manage mixed onsite/offsite delivery, with familiarity in Azure

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience and an active PMP.
• Experience managing infrastructure/data center installations, ideally including HPC.
• Direct experience with DevOps projects and workflows.
• Knowledge of Azure/cloud, networking, virtualization, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills.
• Experience with ServiceNow PPM, Azure DevOps, or Jira.
• Healthcare, academic research, or scientific environment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure and development projects from planning through implementation.
• Coordinate HPC hardware, data center/Colo, cloud, and laboratory technology deployments.
• Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to manage scope, requirements, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Provide project updates and presentations to leadership.
• Facilitate communication across technical and research teams and navigate changing priorities.
