Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Commerce is seeking a solution-driven Senior Project Manager to generate and manage medium to large complex projects that result in job creation and capital investment in South Carolina.

The role requires selling the state's assets, maintaining collaboration among diverse stakeholders, and travel both nationally and internationally as needed. A related bachelor’s degree and experience in marketing, economic development, sales, or customer service are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area and experience in marketing, economic development, sales, or customer service.
• Experience managing medium to large complex projects that result in job creation and capital investment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Supports agency's goals of capital investment and jobs; personally manages medium to large complex projects that result in job creation and capital investment in South Carolina.
• Attends meetings, participates as a team member, and helps create a collaborative environment.
• Sells South Carolina through sales missions, trade shows, consultant referrals and special events; builds relationships with regional stakeholders and government entities.
