Job summary

Kimmel Associates is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large, complex construction projects from turnover to closeout. You will partner with field and office teams to ensure safety, profitability, and on-time results, while mentoring the project team and managing client relationships.

The role emphasizes budget control, contract administration, schedule management, and risk mitigation, reporting to the Project Executive.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience on large, complex projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, project financial management, and delivery processes.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, change orders, and customer relationships.
  • Procore, Bluebeam, or QuickBooks experience preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Travel to project sites; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead overall management and successful delivery of a portfolio of large, complex projects.
  • Be accountable for customer satisfaction, contracts, finances, schedules, and risk.
  • Coordinate between field and office teams and collaborate with partners.
  • Mentor project managers, assistant project managers, and coordinators.
  • Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Position

The Senior Project Manager leads the overall management and successful delivery of a portfolio of large, complex construction projects from turnover through final closeout, serving as the primary business leader on each project. This role is accountable for customer satisfaction, contract administration, financial performance, schedule management, and risk mitigation, while coordinating closely between field and office teams. The Senior Project Manager partners with Field Executives, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and on schedule, and also mentors Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project coordinators. The role covers project execution planning, budget and contract management, customer relationship management, risk and procurement coordination, and supports the company's broader safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position reports to the Project Executive.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • 8+ years of commercial construction project management experience, including leadership of large, complex projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, project financial management, and project delivery processes.

  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, change orders, and customer relationships.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software; experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or QuickBooks preferred.

  • Experience in drywall, ACT, siding, insulation, framing, or specialty contracting environments preferred.

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and mentoring project team members preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

  • Preferred certification: OSHA 30.
