Job summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a Department of Defense science and research program. The role requires the ability to work independently, form and lead teams, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively in both writing and speech.

The candidate should be proficient in Excel and MS Project and have experience within a science laboratory setting, with a history of delivering technical proposals, budgets, and schedules on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years in a science laboratory environment.
• Minimum 1 year of project management experience or PMP certification.
• Must pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Research Proposal Support: assist the Division in preparing and reviewing proposals and track packets.
• Research Agreement Support: ensure completeness of agreement packets and proper routing for approval.
• Budget Estimates and Service Rate Calculations: track staffing FTEs and report data for budgets and taskers.
• Tracking Project Schedule and Performance: consolidate, review, and report on division tasks and risks; assist in mitigation planning.
• Monthly Budget Execution: consolidate and track budget execution reports and spend plans; communicate status to leadership.
• Project Change Requests (CR): monitor submissions, perform quality checks, and manage CRs.
