Job summary

CBRE is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Atlanta, GA, supporting large-scale Data Center campuses. The ideal candidate has substantial construction project leadership experience and can manage cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and supply chains.

You will oversee governance, milestones, cost control, and reporting, while ensuring compliance with design standards and SOX considerations where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience.
• Strong organizational and management skills and ability to collaborate with broader team.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore and PM tools.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
• Analyze, track and manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
• Verify governance, processes and systems are utilized across projects.
• Apply best practices on all projects and produce formal status reports.
• Monitor multiple construction projects to ensure design standards are applied.
• Interface with suppliers via monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
• Facilitate project information flow through meetings and written communications.
• Forecast and update key project milestones.
• Provide technical support to owners, architects, GCs and regional stakeholders.
• Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field.
• Contribute to cost control, value engineering and constructability guidance.
• Review status reports, drawings, timelines and costs from teams.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in support of large-scale Data Center campuses in Atlanta, GA. The ideal individual will have prior experience supporting large-scale construction projects.

What you'll do

• Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
• Analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
• Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized
• Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
• Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required.
• Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are applied correctly.
• Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
• Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
• Forecast and update key project milestones.
• Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
• Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
• Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
• Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.
• Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

• Assist in developing excellent working relationships with Clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.

• Provide advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients' objectives and business objectives.

What you'll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or applicable bachelor's degree and or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant project management experience.
• Strong organizational and management skills – the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with the broader team.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
