Job summary

Vizient is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex cross-functional initiatives that align with strategic business objectives across multiple products, clients, and source systems.

You will partner with stakeholders to drive execution, influence decisions through data-driven insights, and improve processes to deliver measurable outcomes. 5+ years in PM and strong governance experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with PM tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, or Wrike; Smartsheet preferred.
• Experience with Mavenlink preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); Visio experience preferred.
• Proficient in project management principles, methodologies, techniques, and tools.
• Ability to analyze data and leverage insights to support project decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex cross-functional projects from initiation through completion while managing scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project management processes, tools, and documentation to support successful project execution.
• Enhance project governance by developing metrics, reporting, and performance measures that drive informed decision-making.
• Communicate project expectations, progress, risks, and recommendations to project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
• Analyze project data and KPIs to identify trends, provide strategic recommendations, and support business decisions.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders on project status, risks, outcomes, and recommendations.
• Mentor project team members and promote effective collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Facilitate project retrospectives and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and operational effectiveness.
