Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our support project management team for large-scale construction projects in the United States. You will manage stakeholders, coordinate design teams, and ensure governance, processes, and systems are applied across projects.

The role requires a minimum of 8 years' experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and strong proficiency with MS Office/Excel and project management tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of applicable experience.
  • Proactive, organized, and thorough with a strong work ethic.
  • Work effectively as a team member in delivering projects.
  • Exposure to project management software systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
  • Analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
  • Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized.
  • Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
  • Produce formal project status reports and other reports as required.
  • Monitor progress of multiple construction projects to ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Manage interface between all suppliers through trackers and reviews.
  • Communicate project information through meetings and written communications.
  • Forecast and update key project milestones.
  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
  • Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
  • Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance.
  • Review status reports, drawings, timelines and costs from various parties.
  • Develop excellent client relationships to maximize new opportunities.
  • Offer strategic thinking to help meet client and business objectives.
  • Capture key learnings from each project.
  • Identify ways to improve internal systems and processes.

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our support project management team. The ideal individual will have prior experience supporting large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers, and supply chains to deliver compliant projects.
  • Can analyze, track, and effectively manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips.
  • Verify that effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized.
  • Ensure application of best practice on all projects.
  • Production of formal project status reports and other reports as required.
  • Monitor the progress of multiple construction projects simultaneously to ensure that the approved design standards are applied correctly.
  • Manage the interface between all suppliers through monthly trackers and weekly reviews.
  • Manage the flow of project information between the project team through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Forecast and update key project milestones.
  • Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria.
  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders.
  • Rapid response to RFIs from the field.
  • Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance where required.
  • Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs from architects, contractors and suppliers.
  • Client management – assist in developing excellent working relationships with clients, with a view towards maximizing new opportunities.
  • Strategic Thinking – provides advice to project teams on approaches that can be adopted to successfully achieve both clients’ objectives and business objectives.
  • Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project are captured.
  • Process improvement – identify ways to improve internal systems and processes.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or field related to construction.
  • A minimum of 8 years of applicable experience.
  • Proactive, organized, and thorough with a strong work ethic.
  • Work as an effective and collaborative team member in delivering the project.
  • Exposure to project management software systems.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Google tools.
Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $130k-$175k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
