Job summary

NBBJ, an award-winning design firm, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large design teams and manage complex projects from pre-design through construction administration. You will ensure document accuracy, coordinate with clients and consultants, and drive design solutions within budget and schedule.

Strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills are essential, along with proficiency in Revit, BIM, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in Architecture
• At least 10 years of experience as a Project Manager
• Architectural licensure is preferred
• Experience with complex multi-phase projects, healthcare or higher education
• LEED Accreditation or within 18 months of hire
• Adept in change management
• Must have a proven track record as a Project Manager with complex projects from Pre-design through Construction Administration
• Excellent leadership, verbal and communication skills, and effective client relationship skills
• Knowledge of Revit and BIM delivery implications
• Working expertise in Bluebeam Revu, PowerPoint, Excel, and Smartsheet
• Ability to travel as the project requires
• Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Ability to work in a collaborative, design focused open environment

Responsibilities

• Manage team complexity – plans, organizes, and supervises the work of large diverse design teams
• Maintain accuracy and applicability of documents for entire project(s)
• Build and maintain day-to-day working relationships with clients and consultants
• Lead decision making with fiscal accountability and responsibility
• Develop and execute a management work plan for the overall project(s)
• Assist with proposal preparation and participate in client presentations/interviews
• Responsible for correspondence, reports, documentation, and general administration for the project(s)
• Lead interface with building and health authorities and entitlements
• Apply sound architectural knowledge for all project aspects
• Drive decision making on architectural problems with the team
• Negotiate and draft/write fee proposals and contracts
• Assist Practice Leaders in business development and collaborations across studios
• Develop and leverage client relationships to win work
• Assist with market/client campaigns and interviews to win new work
