AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee design-build projects as an Owner’s Representative for a mega program with multiple NYC locations, including a Brooklyn Boerum Hill site. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture and 10+ years in construction, with 15 years and leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field with 10+ years in construction.
  • Experience as Consultant (Owner’s Representative) or Contractor (PM or greater).
  • 15 years of experience in construction projects, including 7 years in leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall project execution of design-build initiatives with adherence to design specs, budgets and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the design-build team to develop and implement plans and strategies in a task-oriented approach.
  • Oversee change orders, payment requisitions, and maintain budget projections and schedules.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records and documentation.
  • Review design-builder change orders while maintaining budget integrity and reporting.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships with regular updates.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety across all project sites and operations.
  • Provide on-site leadership to the project team in NYC’s complex construction environment.
  • Travel within NYC boroughs: Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn.

Job Description

As theSenior Project Manager,you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our design-build projects. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of managing complex design-build projects in an Owner's Representative role on a highly complex mega project program. This project has multiple locations within NYC and this requirement is for Brooklyn based site in theBoerum Hill neighborhood.

The Senior Project Manager will report to the project leadership team and interface with stakeholders in a task-oriented scope of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall project execution of our design-build initiatives, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budget constraints, and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate with the design-build team to develop and implement efficient project plans and strategies intask orientated approach to work.
  • Oversee administrative functions including design-builder’s adherence to the design-build agreement,contract performance monitoring, review of payment requisitions,and maintenance of project schedules and budget projections.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project records and documentation using task oriented style.
  • Review design-builder change orders, while maintaining budget integrity and producing accurate financial reports.
  • Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships by offering consistent updates.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety across all project sites and operations.
  • Provide on-site leadership and guidance to the project team in the challenging construction environment of New York City that aligns to task orientated approach to work.
  • Travel within the 4 boroughs of NYC; Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architectureor related field + 10 years of experience in construction projects of various complexity, including 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with working as a Consultant (Owner’s Representative role) and/or Contractor (Project Manager or greater role).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15years of experience in construction projects, including 7 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience interfacing withNYC agencies with jurisdiction.
  • Track record of successfully leading large-scale high rise construction projects using traditional and design-build project delivery methods.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Proficiency in construction management software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
