B&D has been named a 2024 Champion of Learning by the Association for Talent Development—four years in a row!

Are you a seasoned project leader who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments? Do you bring the strategic mindset and client-focused approach that turns challenges into progress? If you're ready to lead impactful work that shapes communities across the country, Brailsford & Dunlavey (B&D) wants to hear from you.

We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team—someone who brings both expertise and energy to our implementation-focused work with municipalities, K-12 school systems, arenas, and community spaces. If you’re entrepreneurial, collaborative, and motivated by meaningful outcomes, keep reading.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Project Manager at B&D, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams and guide clients through the full lifecycle of complex capital projects—from idea to execution. In this role, you will:

  • Take primary responsibility for managing medium to large-scale implementation projects ($35M–$75M), ensuring schedule, budget, and quality excellence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering strategic insight and tailored recommendations.
  • Oversee all project phases, including budget development, design and construction oversight, permitting, procurement, quality control, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead internal teams and external partners (architects, consultants, contractors) to execute project goals.
  • Shape client deliverables, from reports and budgets to presentations and implementation strategies.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and leadership across projects.
  • Support business development efforts by strengthening existing relationships and representing B&D in industry spaces.
  • Contribute to firm-wide quality assurance initiatives and share your expertise through training and thought leadership.
What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 10+ years leading large-scale capital improvement projects, ideally within municipal, K-12, or community-focused sectors.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, planning, business, or related field.
  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of construction program implementation, including budgeting, schedule compliance, contract management, and public sector permitting.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and inspire project teams and coordinate diverse stakeholders.
  • Communication: Strong writing, presentation, and client engagement skills.
  • Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Location: Ability to travel to client sites up to 5 times per week; reliable transportation required.
  • Bonus points if you’ve experience navigating public approval processes, are bilingual in English and Spanish, or have experience working within DSA-regulated projects.
Why Join B&D?

At B&D, We Don’t Just Manage Projects—we Build The Future Of Communities. Whether We're Helping a City Revitalize a Public Space Or Guiding a School District Through Campus Expansion, We Take Pride In Creating Meaningful Outcomes. Here's What You'll Find Here:

  • A career with purpose. Your work will directly impact students, families, and neighborhoods.
  • A culture that values you. From mentorship to continuous learning, we invest in your growth.
  • A collaborative team. Join a high-performance environment where ideas are shared, voices are heard, and innovation is embraced.
  • Competitive benefits. Including 100% company-paid medical, dental, and prescription coverage for employees and their children, plus vision, PTO, 401(k) contributions, and more.
  • A commitment to inclusion. We believe diverse perspectives strengthen our work—and our culture reflects that.
This role's target base annual salary range is currently $110-135,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education, experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate, and pay relative to other team members.
Brailsford & Dunlavey is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive work environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
