Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead MILCON, ICG, and related infrastructure initiatives for MCICOM. You will manage schedules, risks, and documentation while coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably DoD/federal.
  • Experience with MS Project and Power BI.
  • Active Secret clearance required.

Job description

The Senior Project Manager will lead and support the planning, coordination, and execution of complex projects supporting Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM), including Military Construction (MILCON) and Installation Communication Grid (ICG) initiatives. This role will manage projects from planning through execution and closeout while coordinating technical, operational, financial, and stakeholder requirements. The Senior Project Manager will provide project leadership, maintain project schedules and performance metrics, facilitate stakeholder coordination, and ensure project requirements, deliverables, and documentation remain accurate and current. The position will also support data-driven decision-making through the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and other project management tools. The Senior Project Manager will be expected to perform routine administrative and project support tasks necessary to maintain effective project operations and provide direct support to Program Managers and the Program Director.

What You Will Do
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of MILCON, ICG, and related infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical path activities using Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage Power BI dashboards to track project status, schedules, milestones, risks, performance metrics, and other project data.
  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document project, technical, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Facilitate project meetings, working groups, and stakeholder discussions; prepare agendas, meeting notes, action items, and follow-up trackers.
  • Develop, maintain, organize, and update project documentation, including requirements, meeting records, status reports, briefings, project plans, schedules, and other project artifacts.
  • Establish, organize, and maintain project data repositories to ensure project information, documentation, reports, requirements, schedules, and other data are accurate, accessible, current, and properly organized.
  • Maintain data repositories and project records in accordance with established naming conventions, organizational standards, access requirements, and document management practices.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, financial, operational, and technical teams to support project execution.
  • Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and actions and support development of mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project performance and provide leadership with clear status, metrics, forecasts, and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Marine Corps leadership, installations, engineering teams, SMEs, and external stakeholders.
  • Support project prioritization, change management, resource planning, and milestone forecasting.
  • Identify project issues and coordinate resolution to maintain schedules, deliverables, and project objectives.
  • Support development of project roadmaps, Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), future requirements, and long-range planning activities.
  • Provide input to budgeting, planning, and project execution activities.
  • Provide direct project management and administrative support to Program Managers and the Program Director.
  • Perform administrative and project support tasks, including data entry, file and records management, document preparation, action-item tracking, reporting, correspondence, meeting coordination, and other duties required to support project operations.
  • Assist with preparation of leadership briefings, presentations, reports, status updates, dashboards, and other management materials.
  • Support coordination and tracking of program-level activities, decisions, actions, and deliverables.
  • Ensure project documentation, schedules, Power BI dashboards, requirements, data repositories, and other management products are accurate, current, and properly maintained.
  • Perform other project management and administrative duties as required to support MCICOM mission objectives.
What We Expect Of You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably supporting federal or Department of Defense programs.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Experience with Power BI dashboard development and maintenance.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, documentation development, and document management.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining data repositories, project records, and information management systems.
  • Experience preparing project status reports, briefings, meeting materials, and other project management documentation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with project teams, Program Managers, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with government or defense stakeholders.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, is a plus.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM), is a plus.
  • Experience supporting MILCON, ICG, or other Department of Defense infrastructure programs, is a plus.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps, NAVFAC, USACE, DISA, or other DoD organizations, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MILCON, telecommunications, or installation infrastructure programs, is a plus.
  • Experience with requirements management, CONOPS development, and project roadmaps, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DoD planning, programming, budgeting, and execution processes, is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense project management and reporting processes, is a plus.

Pay range: $100,000 - $115,000 depending on experience and skill set
