This person will serve as the primary point of coordination between the customer and our internal engineering, operations, procurement, field, and service teams. The Project Manager will be responsible for multiple concurrent projects, guiding each assignment from planning and mobilization through installation, commissioning, documentation, and closeout.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in active transportation environments, managing geographically distributed stakeholders, and maintaining exceptional customer communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of low-voltage and security projects for a major passenger transportation customer.
  • Serve as the customer’s primary day-to-day contact and build strong relationships with customer representatives, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Establish project scopes, schedules, budgets, milestones, resource plans, and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, field labor, subcontractors, commissioning, and service activities.
  • Monitor project costs, labor performance, billing milestones, forecasts, risks, and overall profitability.
  • Review drawings, specifications, bills of material, submittals, requests for information, change orders, and closeout documentation.
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear, timely status reports to customers and company leadership.
  • Coordinate site access, work windows, safety requirements, and operational constraints at active transportation facilities.
  • Identify and resolve schedule, material, technical, and staffing issues before they affect delivery.
  • Ensure installations meet contractual requirements, applicable standards, customer expectations, and 3D Technology Services' quality standards.
  • Manage testing, commissioning, punch-list completion, training, as-built documentation, and final customer acceptance.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the customer relationship through dependable execution and responsive service.
Required Qualifications
  • At least five years of project management experience in low-voltage systems, electronic security, telecommunications, structured cabling, systems integration, or a closely related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-site, or high-visibility customer accounts.
  • Working knowledge of one or more relevant systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, structured cabling, fiber optics, networking, or communications infrastructure.
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, change orders, procurement, subcontractors, and field resources.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, and statements of work.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in time-sensitive environments.
  • Proficiency with standard project-planning, documentation, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to travel regularly and satisfy customer site-access and safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with rail, transit, transportation, government, or other critical-infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working in active operating facilities with restricted work windows.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project-management training.
  • Familiarity with public-works contracting, prevailing-wage projects, and formal change-management processes.
  • Manufacturer or industry certifications related to security, networking, fiber, or structured cabling.
What Success Looks Like
  • Projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and with complete documentation.
  • The customer receives consistent communication and knows that commitments will be honored.
  • Risks and changes are identified early and managed proactively.
  • Internal and field teams have clear direction, accurate information, and the resources needed to perform.
  • The account grows through trust, responsiveness, and high-quality execution.
