Job summary

E2 Optics is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex cabling and integrated systems projects in Omaha. You will serve as the ambassador for the company, coordinating resources, schedules, and client expectations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 7–10 years of relevant experience, strong leadership, and a focus on safety and quality. Expect travel and exposure to cutting-edge data center environments as part of a high-growth team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BS in Project Management or Construction Management. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 7–10 years of experience managing structured cabling and integrated systems projects.
  • Experience in management of multiple contractual types and vehicles (lump sum, cost plus/GMP, unit price, design-build/design‑assist, time and material).
  • BICSI RCDD, BICSI RTPM, or PMP preferred.
  • Other BICSI Certifications are a plus (Installer, Technician, etc.).
  • Ability to identify change events and implement change management best practices.
  • Knowledge of construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of assigned projects from initiation to closing.
  • Direct project resources to deliver value to the customer and align with contract documents, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure timely delivery of safely completed project work and compliance with safety policies.
  • Coordinate installation strategies, manage subcontractor/vendor performance, and ensure best practices.
  • Travel as required by E2 Optics.

What You’ll Do

The role of the Senior Project Manager is to serve as an ambassador for E2 Optics and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects from initiation to closing. The Senior Project Manager supervises and directs project resources to deliver value effectively and consistently to the customer. Responsible and accountable for strategic alignment and the execution of corporate operational processes to drive the timely delivery of safely completed project work that exceeds quality expectations and is compliant with contract documents, schedule, and budget.

  • Travel: This position generally requires overnight travel. The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 Optics.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This role requires sitting, use of hands and arms, verbal communication, and occasional physical movement such as stooping or kneeling. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet. Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so. The employee may also be required to work in tight and confined spaces. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
