Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager in New York to lead large multi-discipline teams through project lifecycles, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule.

You will drive client relations, coordinate marketing and design efforts, mentor staff, and implement QA/QC procedures while advancing HDR’s employee-owned culture and strategic growth in transportation infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 10 years related experience.
• Minimum 5 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer license (PE or equivalent).
• MS Office and MS Project experience (Access a plus).
• Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out).
• Responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high technical complexity, involving a large project staff.
• Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
• Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with other staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
• Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort to meet budget and schedule.
• Work with Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures.
• Supervise large project staffs and mentor other Project Managers.

In the role of Senior Project Manager, we'll count on you to:

• Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
• Implement QA/QC procedures
• Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• PMP certification
• Preference is given to local candidates
• Previous Experience with an A/E/C firm
