Seaway Project Cargo in New York is seeking a senior project cargo professional to lead complex shipments from planning through delivery. You will work directly with clients, coordinate with carriers and port operators, and ensure safety and timeliness across all stages.

The role requires 7+ years in project cargo or heavy lift logistics, knowledge of ocean, air, and ground transport, and experience with permits for oversized loads.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in project cargo or heavy lift logistics.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ocean, air, and ground transportation.
• Experience with oversized/overweight permitting.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field.

• Manage project cargo shipments end to end, from quote to delivery.
• Develop detailed project plans including routing, equipment, and timeline.
• Coordinate with carriers, ports, and ground transportation providers.
• Maintain client communication and provide regular status updates.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Manage project budgets and optimize costs without compromising quality.
