Job summary

PCG (Project Consulting Group) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex initiatives from initiation to delivery in Minneapolis. You will act as a trusted advisor to client leadership, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met while aligning strategy with execution.

You will partner with executives and stakeholders, bring structured governance, and guide teams across business and technical domains.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in project management delivering large, complex projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; PMP/PgMP or Agile certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
• Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills.
• Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle management — from initiation, planning, execution, and monitoring, to closure.
• Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with client strategy.
• Build and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Establish and manage governance, reporting, and communication frameworks.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Facilitate alignment between business and technical stakeholders.
• Manage cross-functional project teams and vendors, ensuring accountability and collaboration.
• Track and report progress against KPIs, deliverables, and financials.
• Drive decision-making with executive sponsors and steering committees.
• Ensure project quality, compliance with standards, and timely delivery of business outcomes.
• Champion continuous improvement, lessons learned, and adoption of project management best practices.

Position Summary

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead large, complex projects from initiation through successful delivery. You will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership, providing structure, governance, and communication while ensuring scope, timeline, budget, and quality objectives are met. You will partner with stakeholders at all levels to align strategy, manage risks, and deliver business value. You’ll also bring proven methodologies, best practices, and leadership skills to help clients improve project execution and outcomes.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, or similar)
