Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary projects across six market sectors in the United States. You will drive proposals, contracts, budgets, and client communications while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates bring extensive PM experience, engineering/related education, and leadership skills. The role emphasizes risk management, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, or business preferred. 4 years of relevant experience within the AEC or Professional Services industry will be considered in lieu of requisite education.
  • 14 years of relevant experience required, including at least 10 years cumulative of project management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management standards and execution required.
  • Advanced knowledge and application of building design and construction principles required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of project planning, execution, and client experience.
  • Manage the development of project proposals, contracts, and project budgets.
  • Plan and coordinate project deliverables, delegating as needed.
  • Manage client service and project communication, maintaining proactive communication throughout the project life cycle.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to budgets and financial expectations.
  • Responsible for overall project performance.
  • Manage and develop program contracts and project fee matrices.
  • Define and manage project quality expectations.
  • Ensure deliverables meet project objectives and quality expectations.
  • Develop the scope of work and fees for complex projects to mitigate risk throughout the project life cycle.
  • Serve as the primary project/program contact and brand ambassador.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and sub-consultants to ensure satisfaction with the project process and engineering work product, and that client views are managed toward the best solution.
  • Anticipate and proactively resolve project-related conflict, balancing the interests of internal and external stakeholders and sharing lessons learned to improve overall client experience.
  • Partner with sector and practice leadership to create and support business development strategies within their sector or practice.
  • Direct the activities of project/program team members and oversee less experienced Project Managers as needed.

As a senior project manager at Henderson Engineers, you will contribute your expertise to our six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Key Responsibilities

Pay Transparency

Salary Ranges
  • New York: $125,904 to $188,856
  • Los Angeles: $119,712 to $179,568
  • Denver: $113,520 to $170,280
  • Las Vegas: $108,360 to $162,540
