Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead healthcare construction projects from pre-construction through completion. You will manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, risk and safety while collaborating with owners, engineers and architects.

Responsibilities include coordinating project plans, managing cost control, procurement, change orders and monthly reporting, while mentoring junior PMs and coordinating with pre-construction and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or related field; Or related construction experience.
• 8-12 years of construction experience with healthcare background preferred.
• Understanding of all aspects of project management.
• Ability to managing multiple projects and multiple people.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Working knowledge of Prolog and other construction software.
• Thorough understanding of financial accounting systems.
• Proven ability to deliver projects within contract requirements.
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical writing skills.
• Conflict resolution skills and experience with successfully resolving disputes.
• Superior organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize resources.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Obtain builders’ risk, general liability insurance and bonding as required for compliance with prime contract.
• Create staging, logistics and phasing plan for project(s).
• Work with Pre-Construction department to transition the project from estimating to project management.
• Oversee issuance of subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Schedule the project with PM team, scheduling consultant, and/or field supervision; monitor monthly.
• Oversee submittal process.
• Establish project schedule of values and billing and payment requirements; track receivables.
• Review and estimate project contract changes and coordinate with delivery.
• Issue change order requests for work outside the scope of plans.
• Responsible for project cost allocation and financial management oversight.
• Review monthly financial projections through monitoring project costs.
• Lead OAC progress meetings and review monthly status reports.
• Provide feedback to estimating on active projects.
• Assist with business development for select clients and markets.
• Train and mentor Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and Co-Op/Intern Students.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Review and finalize project business plan(s).
• Assemble project management team with division management.
• Assemble field supervision team with General Superintendent.
• Review and evaluate prime contract with project owner and division Management.
• Lead correspondence with the Owner, Engineer and Architect.
• Responsible for procurement and management of third party consultants (waterproofing, QC, geotech, etc).
• Manage subcontractor default insurance/risk mitigation plan for project(s).
• Obtain builders’ risk, general liability insurance and bonding as required for compliance with prime contract.

• Lead OAC progress meetings and review monthly status reports.
• Provide feedback to estimating department on project(s) presently under construction.
• Assist with business development initiatives for select clients and particular market sectors.
• Train and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Co-Op/Intern Students.
