OHLA USA in Santa Clarita, CA seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead project operations, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements are met.

You will oversee performance, develop teams, ensure safety compliance, and maintain strong relationships with senior management, clients and stakeholders to deliver successful projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction.
• PM experience on at least one $100M+ project.
• Experience supervising multiple Project Engineers.
• Safety oriented – OSHA 10/30 certificates preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to access all construction sites in varied climates.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team to meet goals and objectives with clear communication.
• Provide training and mentoring to the project team.
• Report directly to senior management.
• Provide project information and reviews as required.
• Coordinate training and compliance to ensure procedures are followed.
• Define scope, schedule, budget; align with senior management and client.
• Monitor controls and schedules; keep project on track.
• Obtain approvals for changes in scope, budget, or schedule.
• Maintain client communication and adjust deliverables as needed.
• Follow OHLA policies and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager provides overall leadership and direction of project operations, ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements. This role oversees project performance, develops project teams, ensures compliance with company policies and safety standards, and maintains strong relationships with senior management, clients, and stakeholders to achieve successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing and directing the project team by providing the communication, coordination, and follow-up necessary to meet project goals and objectives.
• Maintain ongoing training and mentoring of project team.
• Directly responsible to senior management.
• Provide ongoing project information and project reviews as required by management.
• Coordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followed.
• Ensures scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management, all project participants, and the client.
• Determine controls and maintain overall project and discipline schedules and budgets.
• Track schedule and budget progress with project milestones and keep project on track.
• Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget, and/or schedule.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and adjust project deliverables as needed to meet client and stakeholder needs while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Follow and ensure conformance with OHL North America polices, procedures, and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field/ equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of project management experience with heavy civil construction background.
• Project Manager on a minimum of one project with a value of $100 million or greater.
• Experience managing multiple Project Engineers.
• Must be safety orientated – 10 hour and 30-hour OSHA certificates preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.

Compensation: The salary being offered for this position is USD $150,000.00 to USD $250,000. Please note that the salary range listed is specific to the role listed in California. Hourly rates may vary for different individuals in the same role based on various factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, and performance.
