Job summary

Nestlé Health Science seeks an experienced Project Manager to drive large/strategic R&D programs, aligned with the NCE initiative. You will oversee cross-business projects, interact with business leads, Corporate R&D, Operations, and external partners to ensure successful delivery on scope, time, and budget.

The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to support NHW and CSV strategies, with a focus on delivering impactful innovations across units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Operations, or R&D and/or Corporate Functions with minimum 3 years’ related project management experience.
• Experience with PMI-based project management.
• Leads teams and collaborates in matrix environments.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions and solve problems.
• Proven communication skills—presents confidently to steering committees.
• Experience in I2L process and new project management processes.
• Experience in briefing process.
• Passionate about the project and able to see the complete picture.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Drive and lead large/strategic R&D projects with a high impact on the company, sponsored by SBU Head and NPTC Head. Manage cross business/cross category projects on the R&D/development side in alignment with Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE) initiative. Interact proactively with the other functions, especially the business lead, Corporate R&D, Operations, CTAG, APG to ensure delivery of overall project objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

• Deliver product(s)/process(es)/system(s)/solution(s) with defined quality at defined time and cost
• Contribute to the future commercial success of the business by considering the whole picture and the context of this project and future projects, and by considering Nutrition Health Wellness (NHW) and Creating Shared Value (CSV) strategies.
• Effectively control scope changes through proactive and open communication with stakeholders
• Drive Execution of Innovation and Renovation
• Encourages and enables exploration and fast/rapid prototyping

PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT:

• Ensure adequate resources and competence levels, manages the resources (including budget) allocated to the project
• Project management of line managers / team leaders

In a project organization:

• Managing project managers / senior specialists responsible for smaller projects / subprojects and overall project team

COACHING AND SHARING:

• Facilitate and coach within the project team and enhance the interaction and collaboration between the various specialists, within the PTC and across R&D Units, Technical and Business Units, IP and Global Regulatory and with external partners. Including launching markets and agencies for consumer testing.
• Contribute to training in project management within R&D and outside (where appropriate, e.g. I2L)

NETWORKING:

• Create synergies through effective networking with all relevant R&D Units, business partners, markets, SBUs, Head Office, external partners (Open Innovation)

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT:

• Manage stakeholders, negotiate with Nestlé decision makers and business partners internally and externally.
• Presents at SBU meeting (i.e. Innovation Portfolio Meeting) the category

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; Masters preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Operations, or R&D and/or Corporate Functions with minimum 3 years’ related project management experience
• Project Management Professional, PMP certification
• Successfully collaborating and leading teams as project manager or team leader
• Worked a matrix like structure in a functionally structured environment
• Demonstrated the courage and ability to take decisions and solve problems
• Proven communication skills (Presents confidently and convincingly to steering committees
• Experience in I2L process
• Experience in the new project management process
• Experience in the briefing process.
• Passionate about the category / project, and has the capability to see the complete picture

Salary: $164,005.07 to $228,782.15 per year

Bonus Eligibility: 15%

Thepay rangeprovided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
