Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic and enterprise-wide initiatives from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
  • Facilitate project planning, governance, prioritization, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources, dependencies, risks, issues, and implementation activities.
  • Partner with business units to define scope, objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reporting, timelines, risk logs, and executive reporting materials.
  • Identify operational, regulatory, member experience, and implementation risks and elevate appropriately.
  • Facilitate executive steering committees, project meetings, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support organizational change management, business readiness, training coordination, and implementation planning.
  • Promote standardized project management methodologies, governance practices, and reporting consistency.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma and process improvement principles to improve project execution.
  • Coordinate vendor implementation activities and third-party project dependencies as applicable.
  • Monitor project performance, resource constraints, milestones, and implementation outcomes.

Job Summary

This role provides project leadership, governance coordination, stakeholder management, and execution oversight across complex initiatives involving multiple business units, vendors, systems, and operational processes. Partners with executive leadership, business units, Information Technology, Risk Management, and operational teams to improve organizational execution discipline, ensure enterprise coordination, and support successful project delivery with minimal operational disruption. Furthermore, this role is responsible for developing State ECU's Project Management framework, including standardized project governance, reporting, prioritization, and implementation practices. Key Duties/Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic and enterprise-wide initiatives from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
  • Facilitate project planning, governance, prioritization, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources, dependencies, risks, issues, and implementation activities.
  • Partner with business units to define project scope, objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reporting, timelines, risk logs, and executive reporting materials.
  • Identify operational, regulatory, member experience, and implementation risks and elevate appropriately.
  • Facilitate executive steering committees, project meetings, and stakeholder communications.
  • Support organizational change management, business readiness, training coordination, and implementation planning.
  • Promote standardized project management methodologies, governance practices, and reporting consistency.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma and process improvement principles to improve project execution and operational outcomes.
  • Coordinate vendor implementation activities and third-party project dependencies as applicable.
  • Monitor project performance, resource constraints, milestones, and implementation outcomes.
  • Support development and maturation of the enterprise PMO framework and governance processes.
  • Assist leadership in prioritization and coordination of enterprise initiatives and strategic projects.
  • Manage project budgets, scope and change controls, key project decisions, vendor commitments, and recovery actions; evaluate impacts and obtain approvals or escalation as needed.
  • Define and monitor project success measures and expected benefits; lead project closeout, post-implementation review, lessons learned, and transition to business ownership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Advanced knowledge of project controls, including budget management, change control, issue resolution, benefits measurement, and project closeout.

  • Experience supporting enterprise PMO development or governance structures.
  • Experience within financial institutions, credit unions, or regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of change management and organizational readiness practices.
  • Experience supporting large-scale system conversions or enterprise implementations.

Education/Experience
  • Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, Information Technology, or similar field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management or enterprise initiative leadership experience is required.
  • Required experience includes end-to-end responsibility for complex cross-functional initiatives involving executive stakeholders, project controls, and implementation outcomes.

Relevant professional certifications are preferred but not required. This may include but is not limited to:

  • Lean Six Sigma Training / Certification
  • PMP CertificationOther Project Management certifications
  • Change Management certifications
