Project Manager to contribute to our mission supporting our work at Savannah River National Lab in Aiken, SC. Geosyntec is an innovative engineering and consulting firm serving private and public-sector clients.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant project management experience (required).
  • Experience as a Project Manager in a DOE and/or Nuclear setting.
  • Experience with life cycle cost, schedule, budget, and risk management.
  • US Citizenship and ability to pass DOE Q security clearance (required).
  • Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug/background testing (required).

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall management and direction of EPC of multiple complex multi-million-dollar projects.
  • Establish and manage diverse project management teams and priorities needed to support operations.
  • Manage project cost, schedule, scope, and subcontract matrices while upholding safety and quality objectives.
  • Control baselines and coordinate staff and matrix personnel to ensure performance.
  • Mentor less experienced project managers and deliver concise presentations to clients.
  • Perform risk analysis and approve corrective actions with prioritization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide overall management and direction of engineering, procurement, and construction of multiple complexmulti-million-dollarprojectscriticaltooperations.
  • Responsibleforawidevarietyofless significant projects managed by less qualified Project Managers.
  • Establish and manage numerous diverse project management teams, providing policy direction, broad program direction, and establish priorities needed to integrate numerous ongoing area projects.
  • Manage project cost, schedule, scope, and subcontract matrices, while adhering to quality, environmental, and safety objectives.
  • Establish and control project costs, schedule, and technicalbaselines and provide effective management of project staff and matrix personnel to control baselines.
  • Manage professional andnon-exempt employees to include career development,motivation, performance review, and salary administration.
  • Initiate and frequently deliver concise and accurate presentations to internal and external customers regarding project implementation plans, status, changes, and new approaches, including complex technical, organizational, and financial issues.
  • Perform risk analysis and provide decision authority for approving corrective actions and establishing priorities.
  • Manage project efforts to ensure progress is within schedule, cost, and budget.
  • Mentor less experienced project managers.
Education and Licensure

HS Diploma

Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Prior experience as a Project Manager in a DOE and/or Nuclear setting.
  • Experience with project management duties such as, life cycle cost, schedule, budget, and risk management.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.

  • Experience with 413.3B capital line-item projects.
  • Experience and understanding of EVMS.
  • Aiken, South Carolina - Long Term positions supporting capital projects office.
  • Anticipated Work Schedule: 4/10 or 9/80.
  • 100% Onsite. Local candidates or willing to relocate at the candidate's expense.
