Job summary

A Michigan-based, employee-owned architecture firm is seeking a Senior Architect / Senior Project Manager (K-12) to lead projects from planning to occupancy. The role emphasizes senior leadership, client relations, and mentoring cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include managing scope, schedules, budgets, and delivery, coordinating consultants, and guiding teams through design and construction phases. The position offers growth in leadership and impact on the firm’s future.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of architectural experience with project leadership.
• Experience leading K-12 or educational projects and client-facing responsibilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; BIM workflows.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, Deltek/Vantage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural projects from planning through construction administration and occupancy.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, and overall delivery.
• Serve as key point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and specialty consultants.
• Lead project meetings and guide teams through design, coordination, and delivery challenges.
• Participate in client presentations and efforts to secure new work.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships.
• Mentor and support project team members.
