Job summary

Albireo Energy, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Integrator to advance control system projects. You will lead PLC logic and HMI/SCADA development, electrical schematic design, and robust system integrations across projects, including field installations and commissioning.

The role requires 5+ years in automation, travel as needed, and a strong ability to collaborate with engineering and field teams to deliver high-quality industrial control solutions.

Qualifications

• Equivalent experience or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years in PLC programming using IEC-61131 languages.
• 5+ years in HMI/SCADA design and programming.
• 5+ years in electrical schematic design for control systems.
• Willingness to travel nationally/internationally.
• Valid ignition certification prior to starting.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC logic and controls.
• Design and program HMI/SCADA interfaces.
• Design electrical control circuits for systems.
• Install, commission, and perform site investigations.
• Perform systems integrations using serial and ethernet protocols.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing as required.
• Prepare proposals, plans, and technical deliverables.
• Present to customers and internal/external teams.
• Prepare and review technical memos and reports.

Job description

This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary. In addition to the responsibilities below, the Senior Project Integrator executes controls projects with an emphasis on delivering PLC and HMI/SCADA products utilizing industry standard platforms while collaborating with engineering to design robust industrial control systems.

Essential Functions: An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• PLC logic design and programming.
• HMI design and programming.
• Electrical control circuit design and review.
• Activities such as installation, commissioning, and site investigations.
• Perform systems integrations using a wide variety of serial and ethernet protocols.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing as required.
• Preparation of proposals and review of plans and specifications.
• Meeting and presentations to customers, internal and external.
• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
• Report to work on time and ready to perform assigned tasks.
• Stay busy and look for opportunities to advance project completion.
• Complete assigned Controls Product training as part of the position’s career growth plan.

• Support a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and site safety as well as other aspects of the business.
• Complete weekly timecard accurately and timely by 9am every Friday morning.

• Equivalent experience, vocational school, or a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science or similar field is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience performing systems integration duties with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated experience of technical oversight of small systems integration teams.
• Demonstrated experience with industrial automation communication protocols and implementation.
• 5+ years in PLC programming utilizing IEC-61131 languages.
• 5+ years in HMI/SCADA design and programming.
• 5+ years in electrical schematic design for control systems.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite of products including Outlook, Word, Excel and intermediate computer skills.
• Self-starter attitude that is inquisitive, intuitive, and has a willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to document daily tasks, plan and prepare for tasks assigned.
• 4-5 years prior experience supporting construction and field employee groups, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high quality document and report preparation.
• This position will require occasional national and/or international travel and work in remote locations.
• Candidates must hold a valid ignition certification prior to starting the position.

Pay Rate: $140k-$160k/yr. DOE.
