Montgomery & Associates in Sacramento/Oakland is seeking a Project Hydrogeologist for a full-time leadership role. You will manage and lead multi-disciplinary hydrogeology projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with regulators and clients with a strong SGMA focus.

The role emphasizes supervision of field investigations, modeling collaboration, and preparing technical deliverables. A graduate degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of water resources consulting experience, preferably with SGMA work.
• Solid understanding of hydrogeologic principles and SGMA regulatory requirements.
• Proven task and project management experience.
• Proficiency with analytical tools; strong writing and client/presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities; team leadership experience.
• Interest in professional organizations and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Manage and technically lead multi-disciplinary hydrogeology and groundwater tasks with SGMA focus.
• Collaborate with groundwater modeling team to develop conceptual and numerical models.
• Design and manage field investigations, well testing, and monitoring programs.
• Prepare technical reports and reviews; mentor junior staff.
