Job summary

Versar Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Business Operations Analyst to oversee a portfolio of government and commercial projects from a financial lens. You will partner with Project Managers, Operations Leadership, Contracts, and Finance to ensure financial integrity and compliant project execution.

The role covers setup, funding management, billing, revenue and cost analysis, forecasting, close activities, and KPI reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree inFinance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project finance, project controls, government contracting, business operations, or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of project accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Experience supporting multiple projects and project managers simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial oversight of assigned project portfolio.
• Deliver timely and accurate invoices and financial reporting.
• Proactively identify project risks and funding constraints.
• Improve forecast accuracy and project profitability.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and company requirements.
• Support successful month‑end close and audit readiness.
• Act as a trusted financial advisor to project and operational leadership.
