Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Senior Project Equipment Manager in Baton Rouge, LA to lead planning, scheduling and budgeting for the equipment fleet. You’ll drive reliability and preventative maintenance programs while coordinating with field and office teams to maximize uptime.

You will manage long- and short-term fleet initiatives, analyze failure data, ensure safe operations, and mentor junior staff in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning, scheduling and budgeting for equipment fleets.
• Ability to interpret manuals and diagnose repairs.
• Strong attention to detail across multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure crews understand and comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements
• Long/short range equipment planning, scheduling, and budgeting
• Use reliability and failure analysis data to increase equipment availability and reliability
• Interpret parts and service manuals for proper and timely diagnosis and repairs
• Ensure accurate record keeping of daily tasks performed by maintenance team
• Train and mentor entry level positions
• Establish and maintain communications between all levels of supervision and management
