The Opportunity

• As theBESS + Solar Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
• Leada multi-discipline team of engineers and technicians to produce deliverables on diverse and challenging BESS + Solar projects.
• Manage project execution of engineering design, material, equipment, and construction specification development for various Solar + BESSprojects. The assignments are varied and will include engineering, construction support, and Engineer Procure & Construct (EPC) projects.
• Managebudgeting, scheduling, and correspondence with Clients and project management in support of a project.
• Supportbusiness development, client interactions, project execution and proposals.

Our specialized team provides complete engineering, procurement, and construction new asset and operating asset services in the following areas:

• Substations
• Solar Services, Engineering, Procurement and Construction
• BESS Services, Engineering, Procurement and Construction
• Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects
• Conduct research to develop equipment and material recommendations
• Manage data and perform complex engineering calculations
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines
• Lead larger production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for a project

Client Interface:

• Identify key client interests and drivers for moderately complex projects
• Communicate client concerns to project team members and develop solutions
• Provide support for business development or pursuit activities
• Manage project changes directly with the client under Project Manager supervision

Technical expertise:

• Lead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverables
• Provide technical leadership for complex BESS + Solar projects
• Drive solutions to achieve project goals
• Management Responsibilities:
• Reviews lower-level engineering work or assignments
• Responsible for cost to budget performance of engineering design services.

Preferred Qualifications

• P.E. License highly preferred
• Working knowledge of testing and commissioning plans and procedures
• 5+ years of experience in design of solar PV and/or BESS facilities with strong understanding of layout optimization and technical knowledge of major equipment associated with solar PV and BESS facilities
• Good communication skills and interest in engaging with Clients to grow relationships
• Knowledge of project development/siting/studies/permitting, feasibility studies, conceptual design, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), energy production estimates.
• Intermediate knowledge of Power Purchase Agreement content and the impacts on project siting, permitting, design, schedule, cost, commissioning, and O&M
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards
• Intermediate knowledge of civil/structural and electrical/controls
• Advanced ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned
• Working knowledge of procurement, construction and contract administration
• Working knowledge of the proposal process

Management Responsibilities

• Reviews lower-level engineering work or assignments
• Responsible for cost to budget performance of engineering design services

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.
• Minimum of 8 years related work experience.

Certifications

Additional professional registration or licensure may be needed when practicing or on assignment in a different country. Exceptions may be approved by division management on a case by case basis.

In accordance with local requirements, the annual compensation ranges for this role are listed below by state or jurisdiction and reflect the applicable office location(s) within each. Final compensation is determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal alignment, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
