GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer in Cranberry Township, PA (or Homestead or Southpointe) for our Transportation Business Unit. This licensed professional will lead traffic analysis on PennDOT and Turnpike projects and guide teams through design and deliverables.

Hybrid work arrangement with a focus on hands-on design, mentoring, and project leadership. The role requires a PE license and substantial traffic engineering experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of traffic engineering experience
• Bachelors degree in engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Valid driver's license
• Working knowledge of PennDOT, Turnpike, and MUTCD standards
• MicroStation and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic modeling and analysis using Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/SimTraffic
• Design traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, and maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT)
• Produce and check traffic reports, plans, specifications, and cost opinions
• Manage scope, schedule, staffing, and budget on multidiscipline projects
• Mentor engineers and support their growth

GAI Consultants is hiring a Senior Traffic Engineer for our Transportation Business Unit. You will lead traffic analysis and design on PennDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike projects.

This role fits a licensed traffic engineer who enjoys hands-on design and leading teams.

What You’ll Do
