Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to expand on project management fundamentals and oversee larger scopes of work on active jobsites in Houston.

You will participate in coordination, safety, quality control, and timely project execution with a focus on team collaboration. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering and 2–5 years of related experience, with strong knowledge of construction practices and subcontractor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• 2-5 years of equivalent experience required.
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
• Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work.

Responsibilities

• General Contract and Subcontract administration.
• Construction Scheduling and coordination of activities.
• Material & Equipment procurement and expediting.
• Coordination of mechanical, electrical and piping systems.
• Shop drawing and submittal review and coordination.
• Change order documentation and cost reporting.
