Job summary

Power Systems Hanwha in Jupiter, FL is seeking a Project Engineer, Conversions with deep Gas Turbine experience to lead engineering and project management for GT conversions, modifications, and upgrades. You will work with internal teams and external partners to drive technical execution and ensure on-time delivery at a project level.

The role requires 10+ years in GT, strong communication, and CAD CREO proficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of applicable experience in the GT industry, with 5+ years of experience related to Gas Turbine product development and specifications is a plus.
• Working knowledge of fluid systems and components such as control valves, piping, heat transfer equipment and instrumentation a plus.
• Experience with electrical systems and controls a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with technical teams, customers, suppliers, and on-site contractors at a project level.
• Proficiency with CAD software (CREO or equivalent) desired.
• Strong skills with MS Office programs.
• Strong decision making and organizational skills are required.
• Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills, including ability to motivate and influence others.
• Proven track record of EHS leadership by example.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical focal point for GT Conversions Projects, partnering with Project Management Office and interfacing with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Field Services.
• Lead auxiliary system design, develop documentation per OP3031, and prepare for installation readiness reviews.
• Coordinate program milestones and align resources to ensure on time delivery of designs, parts, procurement, and on-site execution.
• Serve as focal point for suppliers and contractors to ensure consistency in project execution and engineering efforts.
• Provide technical and project insights to customers and update stakeholders on progress.
• Coordinate design and risk reviews, highlight top risks, and assist in mitigation planning.
• Support sales with project cost estimates and site walkdown for bids.
• Assist on-site installations with field advisory services and contractor supervision.
