Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Project Engineer to support the IGNITE edge processing team, coordinating technical activities and delivering flight-qualified digital electronics hardware. The role collaborates with program management, systems engineers, and suppliers to translate requirements into reliable designs.

Responsibilities include planning, risk mitigation, resource coordination, and strong stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to multitask across concurrent work streams.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and team coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with procurement processes and supplier interactions.
• Experience in planning, scheduling and dashboard reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP/EPDM/SAP environments.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution – develop task breakdowns, maintain schedules, track milestones.
• Risk & Issue Management – identify risks, implement mitigations, report to PM.
• Resource Coordination – balance workload and reallocate as priorities shift.
• Stakeholder Communication – craft status briefings and dashboards for leadership.
• Change & Configuration Control – manage baselines, coordinate change boards, ensure docs integrity.
• Supplier & Contract Interface – monitor deliveries, resolve non-conformances, track deliverables.
• Team Support & Mentoring – serve as primary contact for team needs and knowledge sharing.
