Job summary

Alston Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support project teams from office to field locations. You will review contract provisions, assist with proposals and schedules, and help manage daily reports, cost control, and subcontract coordination in a dynamic general contracting environment.

The ideal candidate has a construction management or engineering degree with 2–3 years of GC experience, OSHA 30/First Aid, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Project Engineer, or similar position, with a construction general contractor.
• OSHA 30-hour Safety Certification required for office/field positions.
• First Aid/CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents for compliance and design/constructability.
• Assist Project Manager/Superintendent with time frame, budget, procedures and schedule.
• Assist Estimating/Preconstruction with ITBs, estimates, quantity take-offs, and proposals.
• Assist Superintendent with job site startup, scheduling, daily reports, photos, safety logs, and cost coding.
• Support Project Manager with payment applications, cost breakdowns, notices, and RFI processing.
• Project close-out, warranties, records retention, and participation in project reviews.
