Progressive Design, Inc. is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded Senior Project Engineer to lead pharmaceutical API facility and utility projects in Elkton, VA. You will oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in regulated environments, a Bachelor's in engineering, and strong leadership and communication skills. Preferred PMP/PE and familiarity with GMP, CQV, BIM, and EPC delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of project engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated environments.
• Experience guiding projects through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Strong knowledge of facility, utility, and infrastructure systems.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital project execution from design through startup and turnover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Review and manage technical deliverables, equipment packages, RFIs, and design changes.
• Support construction planning, installation, commissioning, qualification, and operational readiness activities.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall performance.
• Promote safety, quality, GMP compliance, and continuous improvement throughout project execution.

This position will lead and coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities while ensuring safe, compliant, and successful project execution.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead capital project execution from design through startup and turnover.
