Tecnimont US. is seeking a Project Leader for their Houston offices. The role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical disciplines, with at least 10 years of plant engineering experience. Qualifications

It develops and implements innovative technologies supporting the energy transition and offers Sustainable Technology Solutions and IntegratedE&C Solutions for fertilizers, hydrogen, CO₂ capture, fuels, chemicals, and polymers – is seeking for Houston offices a Project Leader to join Tecnimont US.

For this specific position is required a Professional Engineer (PE) registered with the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board or Texas Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors in the following disciplines:

• CH (Chemical)
• EE (Electrical)
• ME (Mechanical)

He/She is responsible for the activities pertaining to the discipline within a project, in compliance with the assigned budget, the project schedule, and the technical requirements, assuring cost optimization as well. The Project Leader leads a group of specialists and/or engineers appointed to the project by the Head of Department and reports to the Project Engineering Manager for the peculiarities of the project and to the Head of Department for the management of the resources and the quality of the work.

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• to prepare and discuss with the Project Team (PD/PM and PEM) and the Head of Department the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life;
• to cooperate and coordinate with the Project Engineering Manager and the other Project Leaders to create and maintain the project procedures and ensure their application in conformity with general department guidelines and applicable standards;
• to ensure the coordination of the activities of the discipline regardless the location and distribution of the engineering centers, guaranteeing the consistency of the documents with the contract, the respect of the time schedule, the implementation of the contract requirements, the compliance of the assigned budget (both cost and man-hours) and the quality of the deliverables under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager and cooperating with the other Project Lead Engineers;
• to supervise and participate actively in the drafting of the project technical specifications, requests for tenders, tabulations and technical follow-up of supplies;
• to interface with the Customer and Suppliers of materials and services for all the technical aspects related to their discipline;
• to guarantee assistance to the construction activities during the construction and commissioning of the plant.

Personal Attributes

• engineering technical degree is required;
• minimum 10 years of experience in electrical, civil or mechanical engineering in plant engineering companies in the petrochemical, oil & gas, power;
• at least two years of experience as a project leader;
• experience in construction and commissioning activities as electrical field supervisor;
• experience in coordinating international working groups distributed in different locations;
• fluent English speaker and writer;
• availability to travel for short and long period in Italy and abroad.

Mandatory: The candidate must be registered with the Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board or Texas Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors.
