Responsibilities
  • Lead project meetings with key stakeholders to gather and disseminate project-related information on progress, scheduling, construction issues, variances, and technical challenges.
  • Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between internal teams and the project owner.
  • Evaluate technical data and review specifications to ensure conformance to contractual and design standards.
  • Provide technical advice and coordinate responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage Non-Conformance Report resolution.
  • Determine possibility of conflicts or delays and recommend process changes to improve efficiency.
  • Develop operational work plans and procedures to manage construction.
  • Schedule and monitor construction activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Estimate quantities and maintain bill of materials and budgets.
  • Evaluate and revise supplier quotations; conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decisions.
  • Ensure accurate project charges for accounting’s closing process and perform cost vs. bid performance variance analysis.
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor contract terms, change orders, ensuring specifications are met.
  • Schedule and conduct inspections to confirm facilities meet quality control and assurance standards.
  • Coordinate surveying operations.
  • Coordinate implementation of the Safety, Health & Environmental program.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent) and 60 months (5 years) of progressive post-bachelor’s experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in civil infrastructure project engineering and/or construction management on projects valued at over $50 million.
  • Experience negotiating and managing subcontractor contracts and change orders on large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience in cost estimation and financial analysis on construction projects valued at over $50 million, including preparing bills of materials, reviewing supplier quotations, verifying variances from budgets, and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
  • Experience using construction project management software (Procore, Primavera or similar) to prepare schedules and analyze cost versus bid performance.
  • Experience coordinating responses to RFIs on large-scale construction projects.
