Job summary

The Axel Group seeks a Senior Project Designer to lead design efforts for commercial and institutional projects. You will guide programming, conceptual design, and construction documentation while coordinating with architects, engineers, and clients.

Responsibilities include developing interior design solutions, coordinating finishes, and overseeing drawings in Revit and AutoCAD. You will mentor junior designers and ensure code compliance and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• NCIDQ certification or architectural licensure a plus.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required.
• Experience with diverse project types (commercial, retail, education, religious, corporate, healthcare).
• Strong presentation and client-relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from programming and conceptual design through construction documentation and administration.
• Develop innovative interior design solutions aligned with client goals and budgets.
• Produce and coordinate construction documents, finish plans, elevations, and interior details.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and project managers.
• Mentor junior designers and guide design development and documentation.
