Job summary

Blattner Company is expanding its energy construction leadership into gas power generation. The Project Cost Controls role supports contract management, payments, reports, and SOX compliance, acting as liaison between job sites and the corporate office.

Responsibilities include subcontractor contracts, taxability reviews, invoice resolution, and staff training within a fast-paced environment, with the aim of ensuring accurate project costs and timely payments across Blattner's nationwide

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Associate’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, taxes, or related experience; construction experience is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of operations procedures and tools.
• Strong communication and numerical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry; organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Process subcontractor and supplier contracts and change orders via Textura and other programs.
• Review and update procurement purchase orders for taxability based on state guidelines.
• Collaborate with project sites and other departments to resolve invoices and payment issues.
• Ensure SOX compliance through testing and documentation.
• Train and review lower-level staff and coordinate with lien waiver teams.
• Support month-end close processes and project cost accruals; monitor taxes.
