Job summary

Matrix Project Services seeks a Site Based Project Controls Manager to lead cost control, scheduling, and earned value activities for industrial projects in the U.S. The role emphasizes developing procedures, forecasting, and reporting to support project success.

You will collaborate with Field Engineering, project teams, and client staff to ensure accurate progress tracking, risk reporting, and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of project controls experience for industrial engineering and construction projects.
• Ability to interpret contract terms and exhibits as applicable to client/project requirements.
• Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Familiarity with Penta Accounting software.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost control, reporting, change management, scheduling, and related procedures and systems.
• Ensure data and tools exist to analyze, report, and communicate project risk.
• Coordinate project change management reporting and analysis.
• Assist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reviews and reporting.
• Interface with client Project Controls and Project Management personnel to meet reporting requirements.
• Oversee quantity management consolidation and reporting with Field Engineering and others.
• Support project-level revenue recognition exercises in line with accounting controls.
• Conduct field audits to verify progress, schedule sequencing, and variances.
