Job summary

Miller Electric is seeking driven candidates for a full-time Senior Project Associate role within our yearlong Project Management Apprenticeship Program. This client-facing position supports project teams while learning via on-the-job experience, peer coaching, and technical training.

Apprenticeship highlights include a hands-on month of in-person training in Jacksonville, FL (Feb 1–26, 2027) followed by virtual classes, safety training, and mentoring throughout Months 2–12.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or IBEW licensed electrician.
  • Strong computer and Microsoft 365 skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Miller Electric’s service-based approach to electrical project management.
  • Build long-term relationships with clients and colleagues through clear communication and quality work.
  • Support estimates and proposals to help win new work and manage timelines.
  • Develop electrical/material vocabulary and job-site etiquette.
  • Ensure projects align with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Coordinate with field leaders and subs for client expectations and trades.
  • Assess progress during site visits with field supervision.
  • Coordinate with vendors to procure and deliver materials.

Job Summary

Miller Electric is seeking motivated candidates for a full-time Senior Project Associate role, which includes enrollment in our industry-leading Project Management Apprenticeship Program. This yearlong program provides continuous learning and hands-on development designed to kickstart your career in Construction Project Management.As a Senior Project Associate & Apprentice, you will report directly to a project leader in a client-facing role that requires strong relationship-building skills both in and out of the office. Your core responsibility is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer-to-peer engagement, and technical training while supporting your project team.

Apprenticeship Highlights:

  • One month of in person hands on training in Jacksonville, FL (2/1/2027-2/26/2027)

    • Week 2: Electrical Knowledge

  • Months 2-12

Pay Range: $37.36 - $51.22 hourly

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Understand Miller Electric’s service-based approach to the electrical project management process.
  • Begin building long term relationships with your clients and fellow employees by earning trust through diligent communication and high-quality work ethic.
  • Support the generation of estimates and proposals to support your team in winning new work, establishing procedures, and scheduling timelines.
  • Develop a strong electrical/material vocabulary and understanding of job site etiquette.
  • Work with your team to ensure the project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with your field leaders to confirm client expectations and coordination with your subcontractors and other trades.
  • Assess construction progress, team needs, and issues through regular project visits with your field supervision.
  • Work with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree or IBEW licensed electrician
  • Strong computer & Microsoft 365 skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

PREFERRED

  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Familiar with computer-based estimating
  • Understanding of billing and collections
